Isaac Investigations is a Private Investigation Agency that specializes in ‘white collar crime’ – which includes, but not limited to, fraudulent schemes such as:

• fraudulent financial statements
• false expense reimbursement
• check tampering
• billing schemes
• payroll schemes
• skimming

We specialize in clients that are closely held corporations or small family businesses.

We will conduct investigations into any perceived fraudulent activities, conduct a risk assessment of the company, and make recommendations to lessen the risk of future fraud schemes.

Gayle Isaac has been in accounting since the mid 1970s.  He is a graduate of Upper Iowa University and is a Certified Public Accountant.  During his career he has worked in manufacturing, health services, financial services, government agencies, and public accounting.  After encountering situations where fraudulent activities were discovered he realized he had a desire to begin a career in private investigation, which he began in the late 1990s.  Isaac Investigations has become a family business with his son Jeremy Isaac joining the firm.  Jeremy is graduating from Upper Iowa University with a double major in accounting and technology; this is after more than 10 years of service in the Army.  Isaac Investigations is a licensed and bonded private investigation agency in the State of Iowa.

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners states that small businesses, those businesses with less than 100 employees, are more susceptible to internal crimes.  In a survey of fraud cases, 39% occurred in small businesses, with a median loss of $127,000.   There is not a typical description of a perpetrator, both sexes participate, it can be an officer or a clerical person in the company, the person can be of any age, and the perpetrator has never been charged or convicted of a crime.  The length of time typical fraud schemes continue before they are discovered is from as few as 6 months and as long as two years.
